In January of 2005 a group seniors connected to the University of Minnesotas Elder Learning Program met weekly to write and tell stories of their early learning experiences. The stories are simple, direct narratives that engage the listener/reader with their sincerity. Each participant was asked to think about and write short pieces on a particular event or experience, a mischievous or dangerous experience and an experience of willfulness or disobedience. They had broad leeway to address these themes and were encouraged to be as detailed as possible.
